Abstract:

The current study aims to detect the level to which the first three grades teachers apply project-based learning in teaching from their point of view, and in accorde to the educational qualification and teaching experience. The study used the descriptive survey method. The study population consisted of 212 female teachers of the first three grades, specializing as a class teacher in the schools of the Directorate of Education, Qasbah Amman in the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was distributed to measure the population's level of knowledge over four areas: knowledge of projects, knowledge of skill projects, knowledge of recreational projects, knowledge of projects in the form of problems; after verifying their validity and stability. The results indicated that the arithmetic averages of the knowledge level of the first three grades teachers of project-based learning in teaching from their point of view came to a high degree. Their knowledge of the projects' skills ranked first with the highest arithmetic average while knowledge of recreational projects ranked last. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences due to the effect of academic qualifications or years of experience in all four fields. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of providing teachers' guides for the first three grades books with educational activities and ideas that enable the teachers of this stage to make real use of project-based education.
