The Reality of Education Directorates Leaders' Practice of Technological Leadership and its Obstacles from the Perspective of Governmental Secondary School Administrations in Al-Jami'a Educational Directorate

Abstract:
The study aims to assess the extent to which technical leadership is practiced by directors of higher and central education directorates, as perceived by secondary public schools in the Directorate of Education in the University District in Amman, Jordan. The study focused on the clarity of technical leadership objectives in school administration, the development of technical administrative performance, the enhancement of effective technical communication, and the promotion of creativity and innovation. Additionally, the study sought to identify obstacles affecting the practice of technical leadership and to evaluate the impact of personal variables such as gender, educational qualification, and administrative experience from the perspective of secondary public school administrations in the University District in Amman.To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive approach was used, and a questionnaire was developed to assess the practice of technical leadership and the challenges encountered. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were confirmed, and it was distributed to the study sample, consisting of 40 male and female principals of public schools in the Directorate of Education in the University District. Participants were selected through simple random sampling from a total of 44 schools.
The study's key findings are as follows:
· Secondary school administrations rated the practice of technical leadership by directors of education directorates as high.
· They rated the obstacles to the practice of technical leadership by directors of education directorates as moderate.
· No statistically significant differences were found in the estimations of technical leadership practice and its obstacles from the perspective of secondary public school administrations, with respect to gender, educational qualification, and administrative experience.
