The Reality of Electronic Information Services in Medical Libraries in Jordanian Universities

Abstract:
The study aims at identifying electronic information services in medical libraries in Jordanian universities. The study sample consists of (204) faculty members from medical faculties in Jordanian universities. The researcher adopted a survey based on the descriptive analytical method, and he used a questionnaire of "electronic information services in medical libraries in Jordanian universities" which included (8) electronic services. The study results reveale that the relative weight of the electronic information services axis in medical libraries in Jordanian universities was at a medium level of (63.1%). The relative weight of the difficulties faced by faculty members in electronic information services in medical libraries in Jordanian universities was (65.4%) with a "medium" level.
In light of the findings of the study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations emphasizing the importance of developing electronic information services in medical libraries due to their importance, especially in light of the crisis the world has gone through.
