Quality of Career Life for Employees of Assistant Administrative Positions: A Case Study on King Saud University in Riyadh

Abstract:

This study aims to present a proposed model that may contribute to the availability of the career life quality aspects of the administrative staff at King Saud University by identifying the degree of availability of the career life aspects, namely (career path, control and influence at work, well-being at work, balance between work and home, work pressure, work conditions, and physical factors). To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive survey method, relying on a questionnaire as a tool for the study, and the tool is applied to the administrative staff (female employees –female technicians) at King Saud University. The researcher used a simple random sample of (361) female employees, and the study reached several results, the most prominent of which are: The degree of availability of the career life quality aspects of the of the administrative staff at King Saud University was generally medium, where the aspect of work conditions ranked first, followed by the aspect of work pressure, followed by the aspect of work pressure, and the aspect of control and influence at work comes in third place among the career life quality aspect. In the fourth place comes the aspect of balance between work and home, followed by the aspect of career path, and the physical factors aspect comes in the sixth rank. Finally, the aspect of well-being at work comes as the least aspect of career quality of the administrative staff at King Saud University.
