Effectiveness of A Logo-therapy Based Programme in Reducing Social Anxiety among Blind Adolescents
Abstract:
The current study aims at preparing and evaluating a counseling program based on counseling in the sense to reduce social anxiety among blind adolescents. The study sample consisted of (20) blind teenagers at the Al-Noor Institute in Buraidah, and it used the social anxiety scale for blind adolescents, and the counseling program (prepared by the researcher). The results of the study reveal that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in social anxiety among blind adolescents, in favor of the experimental group, as well as the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in social anxiety among blind adolescents in the pre and post measurements, in favor of the post-measurement, and there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental study group in social anxiety among blind adolescents in the post-measurement and follow-up (two months after the end of the program).
