Contemporary Interpretation of the Qur'an: (Al Asas) Interpretation of Said Hawa as a Model

Abstract:

This study aims to highlight the features of renewal in contemporary interpretation by tracing the elements of the renewal trend of Sheikh Saeed Hawwa in his interpretation the Basis (Al Asas), and dealt with them by studying and analyzing, as this interpretation includes what resembles a full-fledged renewal theory, benefiting in its formation from the steps of previous reformist, and trying to apply that to the nation's contemporary reality.

It came in an introduction and a preamble that included a brief definition of the interpreter and interpretation, and the issues related to the renewal of interpretation, and on two topics: the first of them is devoted to clarifying what is related to renewal in contemporary interpretation in general, while the second focuses on extrapolating the places of renewal in the interpretation the Basis (Al Asas) and showing the features of the renewal trend of Sheikh Hawwa, represented in the social, intentional, and scientific aspects.

And then the results came to confirm the importance of highlighting the aspects of the renewal trend of the commentators in general and of Sheikh Saeed Hawwa in particular.
