Abstract:
This paper deals with the statement of legal provisions regarding the dissolution of the Jordanian parliament in light of the 2011 amendments that occurred to Jordan's constitution of 1952. The importance of this paper comes in its statement of the most important legal implications of the issuance of a decision to dissolve Parliament, and the resulting fundamental prejudice to relations of authorities with each other, particularly the legislative and executive authorities, which requires a review of the composition and structure of the constitutional legal system for these authorities in Jordan, and the nature of the unbalanced relations between them, Therefore, this paper seeks to present a comparative study regarding the provisions regulating the dissolution of parliament in many countries, with the aim of finding the advantages and disadvantages of the constitutional provisions mentioned in the Jordanian constitution regarding the solution. Initially, the researcher touches on the concept of "dissolution of parliament" in general, its types and guarantees. Then, the researcher tackles the most important constitutional amendments that took place on the subject of dissolution of parliament in accordance with the Jordanian constitution issued in 1952. Finally, the paper presents conclusions and recommendations that include the need for the legislator to intervene in Jordan to amend the constitutional position in a way that is compatible with what it should be.
