Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to understand the dimensions of tacit knowledge including qualification, training, and experience on the administrative creativity in the Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB). The descriptive and analytical approach is used for the investigation. A sample of (330) respondents was selected out of a total of (2440) employees. A questionnaire consisted of (35) items is used as a tool to collect information from the respondents. The results of the study conclude that the level of tacit knowledge in JIB is relatively high. The administrative creativity is also found to be considerably high due to frequent encouragement from the bank to deal with different issues. The results reveale that there is a significant correlation between tacit knowledge (qualification, training, experience) and administrative creativity. The study recommends the necessity of adopting tacit knowledge as a tool to achieve administrative creativity. Creative employees should be encouraged and honored through some special awards. The building of an organizational culture that supports training activities should also be adopted to have improved administrative creativity in the JIB.
