Abstract:

This study addresses the Arabic education which is in dire need for theoretical and practical visions and insights. These visions respond consciously to the social changes and societal problems. To do so, the society needs to reformulate a new committee dedicated to understanding the education's nature and philosophy in order to analyze the dominant educational discourse, develop programs to prepare teachers, conduct education research, and design curricula, modes, and environments of teaching. Thus, it responds to the purpose of education so as to empower man and set him free.

The present study is based on the analytic descriptive approach. Therefore, it starts with drawing the nature of the educational knowledge in light of post-modernism. It also discusses the impact of the post-modernism approach on science and knowledge.

The study is also based on the compound deductive descriptive approach, which came up with a learning model that is based on six steps: exploring, questioning, producing and generating ideas, dialogical reflective action, having mental imagination, and personal meaning production. The model aims at approximating the features of constructivism in order to present transformational approach and teaching methods.

Keywords: Conscious Thinking, Empowering Critical Education.
