  • Abstract:
  • The study aims to discover the effect of the Jigsaw strategy on the achievement of the ninth grade students and on developing their social intelligence in Islamic Education in Jordan. The study sample consists of (52) students from Al-Faris schools in Amman. The study uses the quasi-experimental method through randomly dividing the study sample into two groups; an experimental group in which (25) students studied the material using Jigsaw Strategy, and a control group in which (27) students studied the material using the conventional method. The researchers designed and used a scale for social intelligent skills that covered the following skills: the ability to deal with others, social communication, responding to others, affecting social situations, and being affected by social situations. In addition, they designed and used an achievement test. The results show that there are statistically significant differences in the achievement test and in the social intelligence scale in favor of the experimental group, which is taught using the Jigsaw strategy. The study also points out the need to guide teachers of Islamic Education to implement the Jigsaw strategy in teaching. Keywords: Strategy of Jigsaw, Intelligence Skills, Islamic Education, Ninth Grade.
