The availability of personal and professional skills among kindergarten teachers in Irbid region in Jordan in light of the variables of expertise and specialization

Abstract:

This study aimed to determine the degree of availability of personal & teaching skills at kindergarten teachers in private schools in Irbid governorate. The population of the study consisted of (248) kindergarten teachers, of whom a sample of (69) kindergarten teachers were chosen. A questionnaire (80 items) was designed, and tested for its reliability and validity.

Results revealed that kindergarten teachers in Irbid private schools mastered well the following competencies: planning, implementation, class management, interaction with kinds & scientific knowledge, but they need improvement in the following competencies areas|: evaluation & personal qualities. The results didn't show a statistically significant differences at the level (a = 0.05) between the means of the degree of availability of personal teaching skills due to years of experience, but it showed the existence of differences attributed to specialization. & in favor of teachers specialized in Kindergarten.
