Abstract:

The study investigates the interplay between total quality management (TQM) implementation, organisational learning (OL), and employee performance. The aim was to address the gap in understanding how TQM affects employee performance, particularly in the context of higher education. The study was based on primary data collected using a designed questionnaire to cover the main dimensions of the study. The strata sampling method was adopted to survey the teaching staff of the University of Tabuk. The final sample included 120 participants in the total sample, which accounted for 82 % of the sample. Utilising a structural equation modelling (SEM) methodology, the intricate structure of the suggested model was assessed. The findings reveal significant positive relationships between TQM, OL and employee performance. Furthermore, OL is shown to be a beneficial mediator in the TQM-performance relationship. The study results are poised to offer evidence-based recommendations for educational quality enhancement, with implications for administrators and policymakers.
