Abstract:
This study aims at identifying the factors influencing the decision to grant credit in the banks of Jordan. It also examines the relationship between the factors influencing the decision to grant credit and provision for doubtful debts. The population of the study sample is the banking sector in Jordan (26 banks), while the study sample consisted of (17) Banks. The results showed that Jordanian banks take into account and apply all the factors influencing the decision to grant credit in this study. But as the results of the study showed, there is no relationship between the factors influencing the decision to grant credit and provision for doubtful debts.
