 Practice Level of Child Emotional Abuse by First Three Class Teachers as Perceived by Practical Education Student Classroom Teachers (in Arabic)

Abstract: The purpose of the present study is measuring practice level of child emotional abuse by teachers of the first three classes in UNRWA schools in Jordan as perceived by practical education student classroom teachers. Emotional Abuse scale (Bani Ahmad, 2006) with its sub-scales (humiliation and degrading, threatening and authoritarianism, disregard and denial, depriving emotional expression, deformity and social reinforcement, make use and over-expects) was administered to sample consisted of (120) students in the University College of Educational Sciences. Results demonstrate moderate practice level of child emotional abuse in teachers of the first three classes on all sub-scales and overall scale. No statistically significant differences were found in practice level of child emotional abuse by the first three classroom teachers on all sub-scales attributed to gender, except for deformity and social reinforcement, where females more than males practiced child emotional abuse. In light of earlier results some recommendations were advised. 
 
The Impact of Active Learning Strategies on the Development of Decision- Making Skills and Learning Motivation Among FES Students of UNRWA (in Arabic)

Abstract: This study aimed at investigating the impact of active learning strategies on the development of decision-making skills and learning motivation of FES students (UNRWA). The sample of the study consisted of (54) students, selected from the second year students in the Faculty of Educational Sciences, distributed into two groups, experimental and control. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire of decision-making and learning motivation were used, and the validity and reliability of scales were verifying in appropriate ways. The results of the study revealed the existence of significant statistical differences between the results of the two groups of students in six of the decision-making skills, and five domains of motivation for learning. The study recommended that teachers Should be trained to apply active learning strategies to enhance thinking skills and motivation. 
 
Marital Abuse in Light of Some Variables of the Palestinian Woman in Gaza Governorates (in Arabic)

Abstract: The current study aims to examine the relationship between marital abuse and the degree of consequent psychopathological symptoms of the Palestinian women in the Gaza governorates. The study also examines the differences in both the average level and aspects of the scale of marital abuse of women suffering marital abuse in relation to the following wife's variables: age, academic achievement and occupation. The study sample consists of (272) wives. In addition to the symptoms checklist (SCL-90-R), a tailor made scale addressing martial abuse was developed by the two researchers. The study found out that (36.76%) of wives in Gaza previously suffered from marital abuse, (40.82%) from psychological abuse, (37.70%) from sexual abuse and (31.58%) from physical abuse. The results also showed that the psychopathological symptoms vary from obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, physical symptoms, sensitive interactive, virtual paranoia, anxiety, hostility, fear, and psychosis. A statistically significant relationship is unveiled connecting the marital abuse average levels with those of depression and psychosis. Out of the three variables specified, the occupation of the wife proved to affect women's exposure to physical abuse. 
 
External Environment Factors Determining the Selection of the Marketing Strategy in Firms W or king in the Jordanian Construction Sector (in Arabic)

Abstract: This study attempts to identify the main external environment factors determining the selection of the marketing strategy in the construction firms in Jordan. The study investigates the effect of a number of independent variables including: external environment (economic, political-legal and technological, socialcultural environment) on a number of selected marketing strategies (cost leadership strategy, alliances, differentiation, focus, and diversification strategy) as dependent variables. The population of the study included allfirms registered in the Jordanian Contractors Association of the first and the second class. The study revealed the following findings: 
- There are common factors determining the selection of any (one of five) marketing strategies, in general and alliances, differentiation strategies in special case, these factors are: economic, political-legal and technological environment. 
- Firms can apply a focus strategy, diversification strategy and cost leadership strategy through concentration on social-cultural environment, in addition to the common factors. Finally, the study provided a set of recommendations to improve marketing performance of Jordanian construction firms and to enable them developing competitive marketing strategies. 
 
The Extent of Application of General Principles for Corporate Governance in Yemen

Abstract: This research aims to evaluate to what extent do commercial banks in Yemen apply the general principles of corporate governance. To achieve this objective the researchers conducted a field study in 12 commercial banks, as research community. We provide data from the field through a questionnaire included questions covering five main axes of those hubs and covers six principles generally accepted for corporate governance. The researchers used in the analysis of the results of research and testing hypotheses indicators resulting from descriptive statistics, in addition to the test (T) for each sample. The research revealed a set of results is that the level of application of the Yemeni commercial banks to the general principles of corporate governance between high and medium altitudes, but the general level was average or unacceptable. The imbalance in the application of general principles of corporate governance in the banking sector, retailers mainly in: The legislation and regulations relating to the organization and management of the banking sector in Yemen is not flexible enough to meet the needs of the sector, failure to exercise supervisory and regulatory authorities as well as the authorities charged with the implementation of laws on banking sector of its functions adequately, commensurate with the great importance of this sector, not to guarantee the rights of shareholders to participate in decisions that relate to any fundamental changes in the banks as well as the nomination and election boards or isolation, lack of adequate commitment rules and standards of professional conduct by the boards of directors, and not justice and fairness in systems staff recruitment, promotion, training applicable to commercial banks. In light of the above results the researchers presented a set of recommendations to strengthen the presence of the most important basis for effective governance of banks during the supervisory and regulatory authorities as well as law enforcement authorities of the banking sector of its functions adequately, commensurate with the great importance of this sector, and a manual explains the general principles of corporate governance and how application in the banking sector, retailers in consultation with those banks and thus encourage those banks to abide by its application, and the formation of committees for the IG to be independent members. 
The Role of Computer Between Efforts Made for the Service of Holy Quran (in Arabic)

Abstract: The computer constitutes an important cornerstone in the knowledge in the modern age, and it has accuracy and speed of information access and capacity to absorb, despite its small size. This research shows the role occupied by the computer, between efforts to serve Holy Quran and its sciences. It provides a definition of computer and features, and offers Holy Quran electronically to the users in voice and legible. The computer also educates Holy Quran recitation and frequent Quranic readings, and presents old and new books of interpretation to use. Also, it familiarizes the users with Quran to non-Arabic language, and helps them in memorizing Quran, and familiarizes them with the scientific miraculous nature of Quran, thereby enabling the user to meet sophistries and falsehoods about Quran. This research presented the weaknesses of computer made efforts to serve Holy Quran. Also it proposed solutions to solve the problem & to make progress in the service of Holy Quran & its sciences.
