Abstract:

The study is concerned with clarifying the features of mental health from an Islamic educational perspective. By following the analytical descriptive approach, and the deductive approach, the study is divided into two sections according to: The first topic: the importance of mental health in the Islamic educational perspective, the second topic: the determinants of mental health in the Islamic educational perspective, and the study resulted in a number of conclusions, the most prominent of which are: The importance of mental health in the Islamic educational perspective reflects the impact of mental health on the individual and his being, where the human self is affected by the achievement of mental health in the Islamic educational conception, whether it is at the level of worldly life and the good individual acclamation through the psychological importance, or at the level of the afterlife and the good reward through the retributive importance. The extended importance of mental health in the Islamic educational perspective is concerned with the societal importance of mental health through the impact of a sound mental structure on the health of the entire society, regardless of its family, educational, religious, media, and other social organizations, as well as the cultural importance through the influence of a sound mind on the rise and renaissance of civilizations. The determinants of mental health in the Islamic educational perspective represent the system of systemic factors that frame mental health, and control its movement and course according to what was approved by the authentic religous texts, which are limited to normative determinants, influential determinants, and descriptive determinants. One of the most prominent recommendations of the study is directing researchers in Islamic psychological studies to conducting more scientific studies on the normative determinants of mental health in the Islamic educational perspective, by expanding on its axes.
