Abstract:
The article discusses the importance of Islamic literature, its functions in human societies, part of it dwell on stages and periods in which Nigerian Islamic literature underwent before it stables and dependable literature. After that, it also discusses biography of the poet, briefly, and elegies on him. The aim and objectives of the research is to bring to the lime light one of Nigerian stars in the field of Arabic writings particularly in the area of poetry and to advise the youth , the importance of relying on the almighty in times of calamity. The method adopted is investigative. The findings reveal that the larger part of the article concentrated on four major parts of complain: they are; complain of time, social complain, complain of foes and self complain.
