Abstract:
This study aims at investigating the sattus quo of the use of electronic management at public university libraries in Jordan from directors' perspectives, the level of their attitudes towards its use, and if there is significant differences (a ≤ 0.05) in these attitudes due to sex, specialization, academic qualification, and experience, and the difficulties they face in applying it.
The study population consists of a purposive sample of all directors working at public university libraries for the academic year of 2012 – 2013, totaling (120) members, of whom (99) or (82.5%) responded to the questionnaire.
The results show that the degree of respondents estimation of the status quo of the use of electronic management was moderate in general, with a mean of (3.30), and their attitudes towards it's use was also moderate with a mean of (3.50).
Results also show no significant difference (a ≤ 0.05) in the directors' attitudes towards the use of e-management due to sex, specialization, academic qualification, and experience, also that their estimation to the difficulties they face in applying it was moderate.
