Abstract:
This study aims to identify the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and its dimensions (user behavior, system capability, training and development process, and availability of experts) on improving the overall performance of supply chains in Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. Specifically, the study aims to identify the impact of AI on improving the efficiency of supply chain performance, reducing production and operational costs, and shortening turnaround times in Jordanian pharmaceutical companies. Additionally, it seeks to determine if there are significant differences in the sample's assessment of the level of AI implementation in the companies under study and its impact on improving their supply chain performance.
To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was adopted. The researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of 45 items and used a comprehensive survey method to collect the study sample, distributing 385 questionnaires. Of the 303 questionnaires received, 279 were valid for analysis, representing 72.5% of the study population.
The results showed that both artificial intelligence (AI) and supply chain performance received high ratings. Furthermore, the results demonstrated a statistically significant effect (α ≤ 0.05) of AI on improving supply chain performance in Jordanian pharmaceutical companies. The study recommended the implementation of specialized training programs and workshops on AI to develop the skills of employees in Jordanian pharmaceutical companies.
