The differences of trustworthy scholars regarding the frequency of the three readings.

Abstract:
The research addresses an important topic concerning the authenticity of the three Qur'anic recitations — those of Abu Ja'far, Ya'qub, and Khalaf al-'Ashir (may Allah have mercy on them). The study presents scholars' views on this matter in detail, supported by evidence for each opinion. It identifies the most accurate position with conclusive proof and highlights the weaknesses of the less substantiated opinions. The research concludes, among other findings, that authenticity (tawātur) is established for the three recitations — both in foundational principles (uṣūl) and in variant words (farsh) — whether they were transmitted directly or indirectly from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). It also affirms that these three recitations are included among the seven modes (aḥruf sab'a) in which the Qur'an was revealed.
