Economic Discourse Strategies in Omani Proverbs: A Linguistic Study
Abstract:
The research aims to address a series of inquiries, with a particular focus on What strategies did the creator of economic discourse adopt in Omani proverbs? What linguistic strategies did the creator of the economic discourse use in Omani proverbs to persuade the readers?
The research is based on discourse analysis theory; as the text represents the inner framework of communication made up of words, patterns, and sentences, allowing for an understanding of the different persuasive techniques used by proverb creators to sway their audience, and to highlight the linguistic impacts indicating the practical goals achieved by the communication; as speech uncovers the layers of communication and objectives, it serves as the primary means of interaction, with the capacity to grasp shared ideas promptly and exert influence and persuasion on receivers.
